Parliament - Mothership Connection (1975)

Parliament is a funk band formed in the late 1960s by George Clinton as part of his Parliament-Funkadelic collective. Less rock-oriented than its sister act Funkadelic, Parliament drew on science-fiction and outlandish performances in their work.[2] The band scored a number of Top 10 hits, including the million-selling 1975 single "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)," and Top 40 albums such as Mothership Connection

Mothership Connection
is the fourth album by American funk band Parliament, released on December 15, 1975 on Casablanca Records. This concept album of P-Funk mythology is usually rated as one of Parliament's best. Mothership Connection was the first P-Funk album to feature Maceo Parker and Fred Wesley, who had left The J.B.'s, James Brown's backing band. Mothership Connectionbecame Parliament's first album to be certified gold and later platinum.[4] The Library of Congress added the album to the National Recording Registry in 2011, declaring "[t]he album has had an enormous influence on jazz, rock and dance music

Gene Clark - No Other (1974)

Harold Eugene "Gene" Clark (November 17, 1944[1] – May 24, 1991) was an American singer-songwriter and founding member of the folk rock band the Byrds.[2] He was the Byrds' principal songwriter between 1964 and early 1966, writing most of the band's best-known originals from this period, including "I'll Feel a Whole Lot Better", "She Don't Care About Time", and "Set You Free This Time".[2]Although he did not achieve commercial success as a solo artist, Clark was in the vanguard of popular music during much of his career, prefiguring developments in such disparate subgenres as psychedelic rock, baroque pop, newgrass, country rock, and alternative country.

No Other is the fourth solo studio album by Gene Clark. On release in late 1974 it was a critical success but a commercial failure; the studio time and cost were seen as excessive and indulgent.[5] The record label, Asylum Records, did not promote the album, and by 1976 had deleted it from their catalog. Clark never recovered from the failure of the album.

Just after Clark's death in 1991,[7] No Other was reissued in its entirety on CD. In 1998, a double disc compilation, Flying High, was released with three songs from No Other.[8] Then in the early 2000s, No Other was reissued a second time in its entirety to positive critical reappraisa

Cult – Electric (1987)

The Cult are a British rock band formed in 1983. Before settling on their current name in January 1984, the band performed under the name Death Cult, which was an evolution of the name of lead singer Ian Astbury's previous band Southern Death Cult. They gained a dedicated following in the UK in the mid-1980s as a post-punk/gothic rock band, with singles such as "She Sells Sanctuary", before breaking mainstream in the United States in the late 1980s as a hard rock band with singles such as "Love Removal Machine" and "Fire Woman". According to music critic Stephen Thomas Erlewine, the band fuse a "heavy metal revivalist" sound with the "pseudo-mysticism ... of The Doors [and] the guitar-orchestrations of Led Zeppelin ... while adding touches of post-punk goth rock".[1] Since the initial formation of Southern Death Cult in Bradford in 1981, the band have had various line-ups; the longest-serving members are Astbury and guitarist Billy Duffy, the band's two songwriters.

After moving to London, the band released their second album Love in 1985, which charted at No. 4 in the UK and included singles such as "She Sells Sanctuary" and "Rain". On their third album, Electric (1987), the band supplemented their post-punk sound with hard rock; the polish on this new sound was facilitated by producer Rick Rubin. Their fourth album, Sonic Temple (1989), proceeded in a similar vein, and these two albums enabled them to break into the North American market. It was also during this period that The Cult relocated to Los Angeles, California, where the band are currently based

The Infinite Trip - Unearthly Treasures (2017)

Unearthly Treasures is The Infinite Trip's seventh official studio album release and builds upon the Space Rock and Prog Rock vibe evident on All Aboard the Mothership which is the bands most successful project to date. Unearthly Treasures focuses on the theme of identity and how our self image is affected by many factors, some of them beyond the reach of the conscious mind. This theme mirrors the bands own musical journey, evolving from 60's acid garage through to 70's and onwards Progressive rock and Neo Psychedelia with our own personal take on these genres. The cover artwork depicts the Hindu God Lord Ganesh who is deemed The Remover of Obstacles. Karma to Burn - V (2011)

Karma to Burn,
sometimes known as K2B, is a desert rock/stoner rock band from Morgantown, West Virginia comprising guitarist William Mecum, bassist Eric Clutter, and drummer Evan Devine. The band are noted for their uncompromising, mostly instrumental sound.

Their name comes from a sleevenote on Bob Dylan's 1976 album Desire which reads "I have a brother or two and a whole lot of karma to burn..."

V is the fifth studio album released by the traditionally instrumental stoner rock band Karma to Burn. It is their second studio release since reforming from their 7-year hiatus in 2009. It was released on May 27, 2011, via Napalm Records.[2] Unlike their previous releases since Karma to Burn, this is not an instrumental album. Only five tracks are instrumental; the other three feature vocals from Year Long Disaster frontman Daniel Davies, who had joined the group but left prior to the album's release.

As with previous albums, instrumental tracks are named with numbers. Vocal tracks are named with words.
