A Overdose of - Heavy Psychedelia (Various Artists US 60's Psychedelic Rock) {fix it}

An in depth look at varieties of Way-Cool Psychedelia. AN OVERDOSE OF HEAVY PSYCH showcases over-the-top, fuzzed-out masterpieces. Excessive guitars, wild effects and tripped-out lyrics all produce magical and imaginative music from this by-gone era.

Just as the title says.... One of the best psych comps ever with killer '60s psych mayhem. Includes Orange Wedge, Quiet Jungle, 20th Century Zoo, Powered By Love, Crystal Rain, Kindred Spirit, Graf Zeppelin and more. Not a duffer amongst em.... 78 mins!

What sets this apart from the many other similar '60s garage-psych releases is the extremeness of the music. Tracks collected here feature grungier guitars, slower or varied tempos and darker and more ominous atmosphere than earlier punk singles...and more fuzz and heavier feedback (even the occasional oscillator). These tracks were typically cut later than many of the other garage-band compilation series, and influences are second generation bands like Steppenwolf, Blue Cheer, Love, and the Stooges. While poppier sounds are eschewed on these sides, according to the liner notes these heavier slabs are the flip sides of lighter material. If the ballads on garage comps are the ones you skip over, by all means pick up a copy of this collection...you won't be disappointed. An extra bonus are six caveman-stomping cuts by the Boneheaded 31 Flavors, originally from two low-budget psych-sploitation albums on the Crown label.(AMG)

Lord Vicar - Gates Of Flesh (2016)

As the final nails were hammered to the coffin of Reverend Bizarre (1995-2007, R.I.P.), guitar player Peter Vicar - nowadays going with his real name Kimi Kärki - started to follow his vision of a new Doom Metal band. He felt forced to fulfill his need to compose and play this most arcane form of metal in the way it was meant to be, full of intensity, cruelty, heaviness, and force.

OM - God Is Good 2009

Om (sometimes stylized as OM) is an experimental psychedelic rock band from San Francisco, California. Formed as a duo in 2003 by the rhythm section of the stoner doom metal band Sleep, OM is currently a trio.

Om's earliest works incorporate musical structures similar to Tibetan and Byzantine chant, as heard on the debut album Variations on a Theme. The band's name itself derives from the Hindu[citation needed] concept of Om, which refers to the natural vibration of the universe. Every album from Pilgrimage onward features Eastern Orthdodox iconography in the cover art.

Brainticket - Psychonaut (1972)

History

Brainticket was founded by Joel Vandroogenbroeck, a Belgian who grew up studying classical piano before switching to jazz. He received the Art Tatum prize as “youngest jazz pianist” at the age of fifteen, and toured around Europe and Africa including performances with the Quincy Jones Orchestra at the World Exhibition in Brussels and the RAI symphony of Rome. By the late 1960s, Vandroogenbroeck was still playing jazz but he found new inspiration in German krautrock artists Amon Duul II, Can andTangerine Dream. Under the influence of these groups, Joel and guitarist Ron Byer recruited drummer Wolfgang Paap and formed the trio that would become Brainticket.[1] The group’s 1971 debut album Cottonwoodhill featured British vocalist Dawn Muir.[1] Cottonwoodhill immediately ran into controversy for its association with psychedelic drugs. Much to Vandroogenbroeck's disgust, the album came with a warning label that insisted you should "only listen once a day to this record. Your brain might be destroyed,” which led to the album being banned in several countries including the USA.

Following the death of Bryer, Vandroogenbroeck moved to Italy and met an American woman named Carole Muriel. A pair of Swiss musicians, guitarist Rolf Hug and bassistMartin Sacher, followed and the group released 1972’s Psychonaut. The album has been described as more accessible and song-oriented than its predecessor while still maintaining a unique and progressive sound

A rock opera collaboration, Orfeo9, with Academy Award winning film composer Bill Conti (“Rocky”) followed before Vandroogenbroeck began work on a new Brainticket album based on the Egyptian Book of the Dead. The new album, Celestial Ocean, told the after-life experience of Egyptian kings traveling through space and time, from the desert land to the pyramids. Released in 1973, the album was hailed as the definitive Brainticket experience.

Vandroogenbroeck then made a series of recordings for the German label Coloursound, who supplied ambient and mood music film and TV documentaries. Such titles as Industrial Retrospect, Computer Blossoms, Mesopotamia Egypt and many more emerged in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and one of these sets, 1980’s science fiction themed Biomechanoid, included artwork by famed designer H.R. Giger.

Two more Brainticket albums followed—Adventure in 1980 and Voyage in 1982—before Vandroogenbroeck disbanded the group.

Vandroogenbroeck resurrected the Brainticket name for the 2000 album Alchemic Universe. He teamed with Cleopatra Records to release the first ever Brainticket box set, The Vintage Anthology 1971-1980, a 4-disc compilation containing the complete first three albums along with several rare recordings.

Solitude Aeturnus - Into The Depths Of Sorrow [1991]

The band was first called Solitude. The "Aeturnus" part of the name should be spelled "Aeternus", in correct Latin. However, a more correct translation into Latin from English "Eternal Solitude" or "Eternal Loneliness" would be "Solitudo Aeterna", since the word solitudo is feminine.

Solitude Aeturnus is an American epic doom metal band that was started in spring 1987 as Solitude, in Arlington, Texas. Their vocalist, Robert Lowe, was also the singer for the influential doom metal band Candlemass between 2007 and 2012.

μια σύνθεση μοναδική που ενώνει όλα τα ζεύγη των αντιθέτων;
Στ.
