Kawir - Isotheos 2012

Οι Kawir είναι ένα ελληνικό  black metal συγκρότημα που δημιουργήθηκε στην Αθήνα το 1993 και παραμένει έως και σήμερα ενεργό. Ιδρυτικό μέλος του συγκροτήματος είναι ο Thertonax, ο οποίος με την βοήθεια του Stefan Necroabbysious και του Eskarth κυκλοφόρησε ένα demo(1993) και ένα split(1994) με το ιαπωνικό συγκρότημα του ίδιου είδους, τους Sigh. Οι Kawir στη δεκαετία του 90 συνέχισαν με διαφορετική σύνθεση, κυκλοφορώντας δύο EP (Eumenides,Προς Κάβειρους) και δύο full-length άλμπουμ [Προς Κάβειρους(1997), Epoptia(1999)]. Στις δεκαετίες που ακολούθησαν κυκλοφορήσαν διάφορα split, ένα EP (To Uranus), τρία full-length άλμπουμ (Arai, Ophiolatreia, Ισόθεος) και το live dvd Athenian Echoes Over Paris.


Kawir is a Greek Pagan black metal band with with a strong lyrical focus on Greek paganism and Hellenic Antiquity. The band was formed in Greece in 1993 by Mentor, the guitarist/vocalist (now known as Thertonax), and Necroabysious, who handled the vocals at the time. Soon after, they recorded a 7” split with Sigh. At this time, Archemoros and Hephaisteion joined the band. On the recording of their mini LP, drummer Nick joined. In 1999, Nick and Archemoros left the band.
